We The People of Ohio
A Statewide Civic Art Tour — April through June 2026
See U Next 2sday, the Arts Committee of Indivisible NEO based in Cleveland, Ohio, has partnered with Backbone Campaign to bring the "We The People" Constitution Preamble scroll on a statewide tour of Ohio — culminating in Washington, D.C. on July 4th.

The Scroll
The centerpiece of the tour is Backbone Campaign's monumental 18×18-foot hand-painted muslin depicting the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Attached to it are nearly 400 feet of signable "Parchment" — a growing national testament already carrying the signatures and messages of thousands of people from across the country.
At each stop, community members are invited to pick up an oversized feather quill and sign the scroll — adding their name to a living piece of American civic history.
How It Works
With its scroll extensions, the artwork can stretch to over 150 feet in length. When not extended, it folds into a suitcase for transport — making it surprisingly mobile for a monumental piece of art. It functions as a powerful backdrop for rallies and community gatherings, and can travel with a march or pop-up civic action in public space. That makes it adaptable for large festivals, college campuses, intimate educational events, and more.
Ohio Tour Stops
The scroll is visiting communities across the state:
Cleveland · Springfield · Dayton · Marietta · Gambier/Knox County · Columbus · Peninsula · Akron · Hamilton · Mentor/Lake County · Toledo · Sandusky · Youngstown
The tour concludes at the Cleveland Pride Festival before the scroll makes its final journey to Washington, D.C. for the July 4th semiquincentennial celebration.
